My Current September Favourites ♡

My September Favourites

Hi guys, thought I'd quickly update you on make-up products I've been loving for the majority of September. The first product I have been loving is the Mineral Veil by Bare Minerals. I was given this product by a friend but I'm certain it retails at around £20, I love this for setting my make-up. Its great for people with combination/oily skin as it really sets your foundation and provides lasting power. My second product I have been loving is the ELF wet lash and brow gel (mines is disgusting), I use this after using a brow powder on my brows to set the brows and give them a finished look. For £1.50 you can get this product online from ELF which is a steal for such a great product! Next I have MAC's satin lipstick in Brave, I love this colour for an everyday wear. It provides your lips with moisture as well as that "your lips but better" flash of colour. MAC's lipsticks are favourite and I cant wait to purchase some more. Many of you have seen the colour tattoo's by Maybelline, one of my favourites this month has been the Permanent Taupe. I use this if I am creating some crease definition when I am just wearing a basic mak-eup look. This product is extremely blend-able and easy to use. Last but not least I love the ELF eyelid primer, I use this product whether I am using liquid eyeliner/powder eye shadow/cream eye shadow/pigments. It is perfect for keeping your make-up on although it does feel a bit strange upon first application. My eyelid primer is in the shade Sheer, which is a nude with a hint of shimmer.

What products have you guys been loving this month?

Aussie Addiction!

 L to R- 500ml, 300ml and 75ml Miracle Moist Aussie Shampoo

Everyone has there favourite go to shampoo and this is mine. Aussie Miracle Moist has most certainly been my favourite shampoo this year! As you can see by the photo above I like to stock up on this as I wash my hair quite a lot during the week. I have yet to try the conditioner but the shampoo has definitely made me want to try it out. The shampoo has an almost bubble gum like scent which smells amazing when you are working it into your hair.
I would recommend doing two rinses with this shampoo if your hair has not been washed in a few days to achieve a fuller moisturised result. The shampoo retails at around £4.50 for the 300ml bottle and £6 for the 500ml bottle I recommend buying the bigger bottle. It lasts longer and its better value for money. The small travel size you see here is perfect for weekends away as it has quite alot of product for a sample size. Using the travel size I can get about 4 washes out of this, which is excellent considering I have thicker hair.

All of the Aussie products are amazing but the "Miracle Moist" range is definitely my favourite, I also use the Miracle Hair Insurance which has the a similar scent to these shampoos and keeps my hair looking healthy.

I recommend this shampoo to everyone and if your looking for a new shampoo I think this ones worth a try!

Thanks for reading guys <3 x

Poundshop Prettys ♡

Loads of people have been raving about the poundshops current beauty sections across the UK. I have to admit I wasn't overly enthusiastic and interested in the hype. When I was shopping at the weekend, I popped in to get a few bits from the poundshop and had a nosey in the beauty section. I managed to pick up a few decent bargains!

First I managed to get these Manhattan Soft Mat Lipcream that I photographed above for you (apologies for terrible photography skills). I picked two of these up that both came with a nail polish in the packages they were in. I picked up the above shade which is 54L (I think?) This is a pinky/red shade which is not too vibrant but still provides a beautiful wash of colour. I also picked up the 95M shade, which is the nude/peach shade. I think this one is more of a neutral everyday shade that is wearable for many different complexions.

I am not a fan of the overall smell of these lip creams but the texture is perfect. The staying power of these lip products aren't fantastic but are the best I've seen for a product of this price. Whilst in the pound shop I also spotted that the pound shop have also started to stock the Sleek Sheer Cover lipsticks and the Sleek nail-polishes. I am definitely going to purchase some of these and do a review on my blog as I am a big fan of Sleek makeup.

See you guys in my next blog post! x

Maybelline Baby Lips: Review ♡

L to R: Intense Care, Hydrate, Peach Kiss, Pink Punch and Cherry Me.

After the hype in the US I was so excited when these came to the UK, I literally hunted them down after scanning every store in my local shopping centre. I have all of the Babylips apart from the mint one, which I have yet to find in store but I will be purchasing it as soon as I find it! As you probably already know 3 of the Babylips are clear and three are slightly pigmented. I have the three pigmented and have swatched them below to show you. The formula of these lip balms are highly moisturising and I would recommend them to anyone who loves makeup.

Cherry Me is the first on the left, which as you can see is very sheer although provides a quick tint that you can wear everyday with the nourishing goodness of a lip-balm. I personally would choose this one out of the three as it suits my skin tone and my complexion. It is a perfect alternative for those not bold enough to wear a lipstick but dont want the sticky texture of a coloured lipgloss. Pink Punch for me isnt a wearable colour as I have dark hair, it doesn't pair well with my features. This is still highly pigmented and would be perfect for those who like a pink lip or have a warmer complexion. I think Peach Kiss (*undetectable when swatched) provides a lovely wash of colour and is perfect for days when you just don't feel like wearing a full face of make up.

Have you tried these yet?
Cya in my next blog, bye! x

My Favourite Fragrances! ♡

Perfume is a girls best friend!

Hello guys, I thought I would make a wee post on the fragrances I'm loving for the A/W season and my everyday perfumes. From L to R I have Paco Rabanne- Black XS, Gucci Guilty and Lady Million by Paco Rabanne.
The Gucci and Black XS are both 50ml size and the Lady Million is a 30ml bottle.

Black XS is an unusual fragrance with an edge. It isn't to everyone's taste, but personally I enjoy wearing it if I'm going out to lunch or on a night out. It has a almost floral scent with a hint of berries. This fragrance has excellent lasting power and is affordable. The packaging is beautiful and the embossed rose adds to the rock and roll vibe of this perfume. The lasting power with Black XS is excellent as I've found with all Paco Rabanne perfumes, I only need a slight touchup during the day.

Gucci Guilty is my everyday perfume, which I will need to repurchase soon. I feel this fragrance is another unusual but popular fragrance. Again this perfume has floral notes, but I have heard others comment that it has Amber notes and fruity undertones. The packaging of this perfume gives a classy vibe and is perfect for putting in your handbag. I don't feel this perfume has great lasting power and feel the need to reapply it a couple of times during the day.

Lady Million as you all know is one of the most hyped fragrances in the beauty world over the past year. It is my favourite although because every person and their mum is wearing it. It is another (do you see a trend?) floral fragrance with a hint of honey. The lasting power of this perfume is incredible, I normally only touch up this perfume once during the day and it lasts me through shopping, lunch, college and everyday activities.

What are your favourite fragrances?
See your lovely faces in my next post! x

Everyone loves a MAC treat!

Goodbye Bank Balance!

I always remember when I was younger being in awe of the expensive make-up stores and wishing I could afford it! Finally this year, I purchased 4 MAC products over various months. My first MAC must have had to be a foundation, so after reading various reviews I decided on the Studio Fix Fluid. My shade is NC15 as I am quite pale. This foundation has great lasting power on me, despite my oily skin. It also is a perfect match for my skin tone and does not look "cakey" on my skin. I also purchases the Studio Fix Powder foundation in NC20, which is slightly dark for my skin but still looks natural over a tinted moisturiser. The finish of this powder can be heavy if over-applied and I recommend using a buffing brush to apply this powder to ensure the product is worked into your skin rather than laying on top.

After the hype of MAC lipsticks I had to purchase one when I finally had the money. I ended up eventually choosing two lipsticks which I am utterly in love with. I chose Brave & Russian Red. Brave is the perfect "your lips but better" shade for me, it is perfect to wear every day and isn't too in your face. Brave is also a non drying lipstick for me, it stays soft on my lips throughout a day and only needs a few touch ups. Russian Red is the ultimate red lip for me, it has the perfect tone and would look great with alot of skin tones. MAC lipsticks have a vanilla like smell and most have great lasting power. The satin finish is my favourite I think out of the two I purchased, only due to the bleeding of Russian Red. The bleeding problem would be solved with a simple lip liner before application.

Bye guys, see you in my next post! x

Bronze Buy

Benefit- The Bronze of Champions First Impressions

This being my first blog post I thought I should start with one of my most recent purchases to provide you with some first impressions. I was recently in my local Debenhams store when I spotted these lovely Benefit kits. This style of kit comes in three different styles; Primping with the stars, Do the bright thing & The Bronze of Champions.

The kit contains the following products; Watt's Up- Soft Focus Highlighter, Hoola Bronzer, They're Real Mascara (3.0g), Bikini-tini Crease-less eye shadow, Thanks a latte powder eye-shadow and Hoola liquid lip-gloss.

I originally bought this product to try out the Hoola bronzer, I can honestly say I am not disappointed. This bronzer is perfect and I reckon it would suit many skin types as its blend-able which is helpful on fair skinned girls like myself. When paired with the Watts Up highlighter, it creates the perfect glowy night/day complexion. The mascara is my go-to mascara and by far the best for my lashes. The only disadvantage with this mascara is the removal. Both the eye shadows in this kit are highly pigmented and create a perfect neutral eye. I suggest using an eyelid primer to create a lasting look. Last but not least is the Hoola lip-gloss, this lip-gloss has a beautiful nude shade and is perfect for everyday wear the only downside is that it has a slightly sticky texture.

Overall I think this kit is great for girls who contour on a daily basis and girls who wear a neutral eye. The kit comes at £26.50, and is available at most Benefit counters.
